Shouts from the toilet made my day

Children's naptime.

Was seated at the dining area about 10m away, in stillness and solitude, when I heard two distinct shouts of my name, from the children's toilet.

Ran to the toilet to find a boy (who isn't from my class) seated on the throne, bent forward, looking at me.

''i poo poo''.

Supposed he realized I was the only one who could save him.

What do a little piece, mouse, emu and chameleon have in common? #children #literature

The comfort and acceptance of being oneself.

(The connections of these stories were made by the 6-year-olds - all I did was to think aloud, "Hmm this story reminds me of another story we had read before...")

Pezzettino, and Alexander and the Wind-Up Mouse by Leo Lionni , Edward the Emu by Sheena Knowles, and The Mixed-Up Chameleon by Eric Carle.

4yo's response to this picture in 'We've Got The Whole World In Our Hands'

Promised 4yo that I'll read the book with him after he left school reluctantly yesterday because we didn't get to read it. So, when I went to his class this evening it was the first thing he waved at me, excitedly.

Me: (singing) We've got the whole world in our hands... (x4)

4yo: (looking dead serious) this is very dangerous.

What it means when fart is smelly

(Matter-of-factly)
''Fart is very smelly because there is poo in your tummy.''

 ''POO IN THE TUMMY???''

 Silence.

 ''Oh... Intestine.''

(ps: this is a conversation amongst teachers)
